The beta version of our Resource Monitor is now on Google Play in the Store. You can install and try the Resource Monitor yourself via the store link.
Store
Now you will surely ask yourself, why we first released the app only on Google Play? Actually Flutter should be known for having the apps for both operating systems immediately available.
But in the first step we decided against the release at the Apple Store, because after the completion of the app still some reworking per system must be made. Since the list was a bit longer for Android, we have postponed the release for iOS to continue to work on bugfixes and extensions of the existing app. The release for iOS will be done later.
App
During the development of the app, we used our CMS and the material design of Google as a template for the app design. The functions were taken over 1 to 1 by the Web app, but should be further developed with later releases. Below are two screenshots from the previous design of the app.
Here you can see the reporting screen with a part of the diagram and the evaluation table. To get to another screen you can use either swipes or the bottom navigation bar.
The app can also be set individually and always pulls the settings from our server. Thus App and Web App always remain on the same data and can be used in parallel.
Roadmap
The app is not yet fully developed with the current status, we would like to introduce you to a few features for upcoming versions. But we can not guarantee at this point that we will implement all the features in the app.
- Text Detection - Take a photo of your meter reading with the camera and let the numbers take over automatically
- Cost accounting - Deposit your costs per unit and get the numbers and the total costs calculated
- External providers - Connection of price comparison portals that match your current annual consumption and propose you the cheapest provider for you
App or Web-App
Which app of both you use is up to you in the end. We provide you both options and you should choose the one that best suits you. In terms of the roadmap, the app is likely to provide the most scale, but the web app will be the easiest.
Conclusion
You're using an Android smartphone, then try our free app today and give us feedback on how you find it. Also, be prepared for upcoming updates that will bring more features.
