Introduction

This year, we want to improve the quality of our website and articles. When content grows over several years, elements almost automatically become obsolete or outdated, especially in today's IT world. Therefore, we're launching the Bug Hunt 2025, where you can help us keep the content up-to-date and identify areas for future improvement. So that you don't go home empty-handed, there are a few prizes for the top finishers that you can win.

 

Rules

In this section you will find the rules that must be followed to collect points. Please read all the rules before you go hunting and forfeit points.

 

Players

Before you start, you should think of a player name. When you submit your first report to us, we need the following information from you:

• Gamer Tag - Choose a nickname you want to use for the game that will also appear in the rankings.
• Contact - How can we reach you later? Ideally, provide an email address or a LinkedIn profile here so we can identify you later. This information will not be publicly visible.
• Language - Specify the language you want to play in and which language you are looking for bugs in. It can only be played in one language (German or English).

Report

You create a report using the integrated function above an article or page. There you will find the "flag" and be taken to a form to submit your report. Points are only counted if you use this function.

 

If this is your first report, please note the point under "Player". Otherwise, the Gamer tag is important for the assignment. First, describe where the error lies; you can copy the context for this and then describe the error or provide the solution. Only in this way can we understand where the error is, since sometimes it is not so obvious.

Scope

Relevant articles and pages are those related to SAP and ABAP. The reporting function must also be active on this page. To keep things fair, you can only collect points in the language you are logged in to. You can find all pages under the blog category "ABAP" and under the "SAP" menu item in the main menu. This tip should save you the trouble of searching for the right content.

 

Points

You can receive different points for different findings. Here you will find the various categories that currently exist. If there are any new categories during the event, you will find them here with their new scoring system. Points are only awarded for the first discovery of an error. If two players report the same error, the first receives the points, the second receives nothing.

• Broken Link [2] + Fix [2] - You find a link that no longer works. If it points directly to an external source such as SAP Help or Software Heroes. If you also have the correct link, you'll get extra points.
• Outdated Content [3] - The content is no longer up-to-date because there have been changes. Please note that the content may still apply to an older release.
• Logical Error [3] - The code or statement in the text is incorrect; there are logical problems.
• Typo [1] - A word is misspelled or contains a typo.

 

Period

The event starts today, December 1, 2025, and ends on December 31, 2025, at midnight. Entries dated January 1 will no longer be considered.

 

Prize

So what's up for grabs? We're giving away items from our shop, and the top prize is an upskilling session on a topic of your choice. Additionally, the first three players will receive an entry in the Hall of Heroes.

(*) This is a remote call lasting one hour. You can choose the topic from those we are currently covering on the blog and website in the SAP area. This is a one-on-one call; forwarding, recording, etc., is not allowed.

 

Board

Here you will find the current board for the event with the Top 10 players. We will update the board regularly as we process the messages. Depending on the workload, the update may take some time, so results may not appear on the board immediately.

 

Conclusion

The event starts today and runs until the end of the year (2025), then the winners will be announced and the prizes were sent out in the new year. From our side, we wish you a good start to the hunt and good luck finding the errors, although we naturally hope for few errors.
