Default value on Creation

Hi, i have requirement in RAP Managed application of Odata V4 UI. Since i have used V4 for the Key fields a popup/dialog box opens when i clicked on create button in the key field i have a field for Date which of Valid From Date it needs to filled with Default value as current date. I tried @UI.Default and @Consumption.Filter Default and Determination in behavior none of them didn't trigger. could you able to provide your insights

Yes, i tried it didn't work. Situation over here moment when we click on create button in V2 application it directs to object page directly in that case it works. But in my case its RAP OData V4 UI so for the keys its two step process. Moment when we click on create button a dialog box pops up and determination or any other not working tried AGUMENT as well it worked for my other requirement but not for this one.

I have tested it with the Default function in RAP and when I click create, the values are pre-filled.

Thanks for dear for quicker responses. i have already looked at it and it worked for me on BTP ABAP cloud foundry environment. But one im facing issue is on ON-Premise system S/4 HANA 2023. when i used { default function GetDefaultsForCreate; } i got an error as not released on my current on-premise system. So that's where i got struck now.

Will become available in the 2025 release, that's the problem of the 2 year release gap for On-Prem. You can find a workaround for this, but this will consume much time or set it to the backlog after upgrade.

Since this function is more of a convenience feature, I would put my colleagues off until the next release and the standard.
