Hello Björn, Your posts have been very helpful in deepening my understanding. In my previous project, we missed applying the 3‑Tier model at the beginning of our S/4HANA migration, which made things more challenging later. Considering your expertise, I would love to hear your opinion: at what phase do you think is the ideal time to start applying the 3‑Tier model, if we miss at the beginning when migrating from ECC to S/4HANA? I would say, it's never too late. There is also a new article for this one. We have started with our oldest S/4HANA system also, when we have developed ~10k objects. Just try to setup your structure and start with every new development in ABAP Cloud. For existing code, make the necessary adjustments in the current package.
You can start with the Level Concept at any stage. It will not be perfect, but you can improve the system quality step by step. At the end you can think about it, if you want to migrate also your Classic ABAP extensions.
